IKIF 2010
Frank Levy is Artist/Teacher at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival (IKIF 2010) in New York City. The festival takes place from July 18 through August 1, 2010 at Mannes College on the Upper West Side in Manhattan.

Practicing can be perceived as lonely and even tedious at times if one simply repeats the same passage over and over again in an identical manner. But if one practices concepts, then practicing becomes thinking. In this lecture-demonstration, we will discuss how to find the articulation, phrasing, tempo and technique required to best transform one's concepts into sound, and explore different philosophical attidutes towards music, practicing and performance.
